Weekend Rundown

January 20, 2003 - 3:33pm

Talking to Kevin while I drive to work puts me in an incredibly great mood. So I'm happy on a Monday morning!

Here's the rundown on the weekend:
Friday night I stayed home to complete school work before class on Saturday morning. I'm still trying to get a hold on all of this school work. Haven't found my groove yet but I'm getting closer. Went to class Saturday morning and learned about debits and credits; otherwise, it wasn't particularly noteworthy. Saturday afternoon I did little jobs around the house and took a nap.

Saturday evening Summer came over!! She was in town visiting family and got to spend the whole night with me!! It was absolutely the most fabulous night I've had in a very long time. We just sat around catching up (since we haven't seen each other in months) then headed off to a couple neighborhood bars for some drinks. We stayed up until 4am because we just couldn't quit talking. Summer is one of my best friends in the whole world and even if we spent hours upon hours together it would never be enough. But I'm so thankful for the time we do get. Her company refreshes my soul.

Naturally, I slept in late Sunday. Finally at noon I rolled out of bed and headed over to Mom and Dad's for lunch. Mom cooked yet another amazing meal (prime rib, mashed potatoes, zucchini & carrots, coleslaw, and berry pie)! After lunch and a "Lucci House business meeting," I trekked out to Plano for Larry and Seth's barbeque. It was great to hang out though I wasn't able to stay too long. Got home and hit the books. (It's confirmed that accounting is hard for me, but I'm studying hard too. Hopefully it'll pay off and all this will click soon.) Spent the rest of the night catching up with Kevin about our busy weekends.

Wireless Update
So I decided after trying various settings on the first card with no luck, I took it back. Fry's was amazingly good about taking it back with no fuss. So I turned around and bought a different (hopefully better) card. This one came recommended. Larry and I set it up at his place last night. It caught the network at his house with no problem (not a surprise since it's a house). I'm hopeful it'll be just as strong at school, but I won't know anything until class on Thursday.

Random Thought
I wonder what the origin of the name "Loveless" is. It's kindof an unfortunate name.

I took an accounting class at UF as part of my business minor. It was widely known to be one of the hardest classes there (for the masses, I guess - I would think there would be a lot of science and engineering classes that are harder). I didn't think I would do well, but I studied for it almost every day and somehow managed to make an A in it. A lot of learning accounting is just doing a lot of it. Practice hard and you will do fine, I know!

Your mantra... Debits on the left... Credits on the right... Breathe... and repeat...
