Traveling

September 29, 2006 - 7:02pm

How did it become Friday already? I don't feel like I've accomplished enough this week. Other than that, it was just a regular week. The highlight of this week was going out Wednesday night for happy hour with Jennifer. We had sushi and a couple drinks. Her company was wonderful as always.

This weekend I'm going to visit extended family with my parents. My father's side of the family lives in Dunkirk & Fredonia, which are little towns in New York on the edge of Lake Erie. We're flying into Pittsburgh and driving up. I haven't visited in a really, really long time. It's a shame that I haven't made the effort sooner. But I am looking forward to this visit and seeing family. The weather is a LOT cooler than Phoenix so I'm sure I'm going to go through some shock. I've got to pack clothes to keep me warm!

Hopefully I'll come back with some wonderful stories and pictures of the family.

Thanks, AndyS, for the explanation. I had no idea!

Heh, no... I was referring to the fictitious character Rufus J. Firefly, played by Groucho Marx in the film "Duck Soup". Leader of the equally fictitious country of Freedonia. The city in New York actually raised a little fuss over the use of the name in the film...

AndyS, did you mean Bucky? The escaped convict who was on the run in that area? The family talked about it...apparently he was caught a couple weeks ago.
