What a nice morning. I slept until 9. Then I got up and started a pot of split pea soup. I did the dishes and now I'm eating breakfast. I'm relaxed. I wish every morning could be like this. We're moving office buildings at work so I don't have to go in until the afternoon. I'm so spoiled.

Went out last night to say goodbye to a friend who's moving to Colorado. Scotty got a part time job teaching snowboarding at a ski resort. He figured it was an excellent reason to get out of Dallas. I'd have to agree. Anyhow, it was good to see Scotty, though only briefly, because I was so tired. And I felt a little awkward around a group of high school "friends" that aren't really my friends. I also went grocery shopping last night. A seriously needed trip. Of course that's why I'm cooking split pea soup at the moment.

I think I'm going to take advantage of this quiet morning and eat some more. Then I'm going to get some new pics up. Maybe I'll even catch up on my email.

I too am familiar with the false intimacy that existed with some of my high school "friends." Seeing them completely reminded me that that part of my life was over. Even if you are "friends" with Scotty you should head up to Colorado (where in CO?). I know it's not the grocery store but I bet it'd be a fun trip.

yeah, but you COULD have waited a little longer to begin banging pots and pans around on the other side of my wall, since it IS my day off.

I wasn't actually eating split pea soup for breakfast...just preparing it. I'm actually far better than just "friends" with Scotty so a trip will hopefully come about soon. He'll be living in Denver with friends to start. We'll see where he ends up. Sorry, K, for waking you up. Just gotta get my day started, you know?
