Spring

Spring has sprung here in the desert and it's beautiful! This is the prickly pear cactus in our backyard.

Life is good and spring is making me feel very alive. Our social calendar is very full which makes me feel good too. I'm lucky to have so many good people in my life.

Friday night Chris and I stayed home and watched season 3 of Weeds. I've really, really been enjoying that show. Saturday night we celebrated Kara's birthday at Tuck Shop. The food and atmosphere was fabulous! We moved on to Lost Leaf for a beer, which was surprisingly busy. Just shows that more and more people are spending nights in downtown Phoenix. (If I were younger, I'd totally start a bar in downtown right now.)

Sunday Chris and I worked around the house...practically to the point of exhaustion. We're about to start a new project so we cleaned out a closet. That in itself was a ton of work! It's scary to think of the stuff that gets put into a closet and isn't touched again for years.

After a hard day of housework, we kicked back with Mike & celebrated his birthday. It was a really good night!
