Shopping for Electricity Texas recently

Shopping for Electricity
Texas recently deregulated their electricity to promote competition. This means I can now choose my electricity provider. The Public Utility Commission of Texas put up a really helpful site - www.powertochoose.org. I'm curious if anyone else has "shopped around" and if so, what did you find?

We went with Green Mountain. It costs a few dollars extra a month, but they generate power using wind turbines in West Texas. The way I understand it, it's not that you're getting that exact power piped to your house, it is that as more people sign up for wind-generated power, a greater percentage of power on the grid will be wind-generated, as opposed to coal.

Leia - even though I am in Colorado, as another US citizen, I thank you for creating demand for this type of energy!

I too went with Green Mountain for the same reasons. I have yet to receive my first bill, but I think the few extra dollars will be worth it.
