San Antonio Tower of the Americas

I'm on the road again. This time I'm in San Antonio. The weather here is gorgeous - sunny and cool. I'm working from my hotel room at the moment and have the patio door open to enjoy the weather. This is a picture from my hotel room - my only view is of the Tower of the Americas.

Meeting with a client this afternoon. I'm a little nervous as I always am the first time I meet people. I wonder if the nervousness is visible to other people or if I internalize it as much as I think I do. Hmm, guess I'll never know. I try to come across comfortable and confident even though there's usually a few butterflies in my stomach. The nervousness is silly because I'm totally prepared. I'm speaking about a topic I'm extremely comfortable with and am confident I will make a good impression. It's just that it's so important for me to always make a good impression. I'm a bit of a perfectionist in that way.

Tonight I'm having dinner with Phil. I haven't seen him since February (how did the past two months fly by so quickly?!) so it will be nice to get together again. I think we're going to have Italian food tonight. I let Phil pick the place since he has excellent taste.

Sunday I got to spend some time with Ky. He's back working on cell towers and has done some work around the Dallas area. It was fun to catch up with him. I also called Autumn, who is still back in El Paso since she's teaching. I know she misses Ky a lot, but they're apart for a good reason. They've bought some land in the desert and are going to build a house. All these things cost money so Ky's back at work for awhile. I can imagine being apart is hard, but hopefully it won't have to be for very long.

In other news, Mom, Dad, and Aunt Linda are meeting Karen in Amsterdam today. This is Aunt Linda's first trip to Europe so I hope she's having a ton of fun. They're celebrating Karen's birthday and I totally wish I could be there. Kristen and I will be passing each other briefly tomorrow as she comes to San Antonio for work and I head back home. Finally, Saturday is my last day of class. I am so ready.
