He was the best little dog. It was so hard to see him go, but he went peacefully. I'm still so sad. Chris and I have cried a lot the past few days. I have a feeling we'll cry a lot more too. We've been looking at a lot of pictures of Bentley, trying to remember the better days.
We've been telling all the good stories about Bentley too. If you knew him and want to share a memory, I would like that a lot.
RIP, Mr. B, we love you a lot.
Omg ! I'm soo sorry! He really was a neat little dog. My sympathies.
Aw, so sad. Bently was always the calmest most gentle animal. I know he'll be missed.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Erica, I know how much you'll miss him.
I'm sorry for your loss. Mr. B. was a sweetie.
When Maude and I came to visit you a few years ago, you showed me how you taught Bentley to go outside through a little magnetic doggie door. I'm not sure that's something Maude could figure out.
Speaking of Maude, I was happy that other than a little food squabble, she and Bentley got along really well. When you and I went out one evening, we gave them the run of the house without having to separate them. Mr. B was a very good host.
Erica,
I am so sorry and sad to hear about your lovely Bentley. I have seen your postings of him.
My pets are members of my family, just as yours are with your family, and they make wonderful companions.
I have 14 cats, for the last decade.
My dearest cat, SuSu girl passed on in Sept of 2009.
SuSu Girl waited, until I came home from the hospital from back sugery, and only then, was she ready to pass away, next to me by my bed.
She was cremated, and her urn is sitting in my bedside drawer.
She saw me thru' a very rough period in my life.
I understand how you feel on the loss of your Bentley.
so sorry to lose mr. b! he was a sweet little dog, remember how hard we worked trying to get him to use the dog door? i lost greta last year and it was so hard. i miss her all the time.
Hey Erica -
I just saw this and I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Bentley....I feel like I knew him from all the stories Karen told at YPO.
Take comfort in knowing you gave him a great life and he loved you with all his heart. They just don't live long enough....
Take care,
Cassie
