Day Off Work

November 29, 2001 - 4:30pm

Ahh, there's nothing like sleeping late then taking the dog for a walk. It's a gorgeous day outside - brisk, cloudy, but dry. Tiger and I tested out his new coat. He seems a little more hesitant with it on but I think he'll get used to it. He looks SO cute. I can't even begin to tell you. And he's bound to be warmer. Though he can't exactly tell me that.

"So what are you going to do with your day off?" you ask. Well, I'm going to finish cleaning the garage so I can get at least one car into it. Then I'm going to prep Karen's bathroom walls for wallpaper, which hopefully will get up this weekend. Then I'm going to clean my rooms. When I finally get ready to leave the house I'll get my oil changed and stop by the orthodontist to pick up my retainer.* Then I'll head out to Dallas to spend the afternoon with Mark before we go to my work Christmas party. Oh yeah, somewhere in there I've got to decide what to wear to it!

*You're probably wondering why someone my age is getting a retainer. Well, when I got my braces off at 16, I wore a retainer for a few years. When I got to college I quit wearing it even though I knew that I was obligated to wear it at least at night. I've noticed a tiny bit of movement in my teeth and I decided it was finally time to address it. My parents invested way too much in my mouth for me to just let it go. So maybe since I'm paying for it this time, I'll be more responsible. Yeah, and I realize what a luxury it is to have straight teeth.
