I'm not an tax accounting genius or anything, but i'm almost sure that there's a penalty to be paid if you insert semi-random numbers into your tax forms. Appropriate etymology for the day: In the 16th century, when an accountant tallied up a set of numbers, he would write the sum at the bottom, or foot of the list. The term 'Foot' came to mean (in accounting circles) to do sums. The term then expanded to cover the subsequent payment on a list of charges, and to this day, we still use the phrase: "He footed the bill" Meaning: He paid for absolutely everything.
