Christmas Eve

On the way to work today, it was snowing!! What a surprise considering the warm winter we've had so far. Snow in Texas is awesome because it comes down, looks pretty, and usually melts on contact with the ground. I'm thankful it doesn't stick, especially since I'm at work today.

Getting up and coming to work was tough when everyone else in the house was sound asleep. Oh well, if I'm lucky, I'll get to go home early today.

Tonight I'll be attending a Christmas Eve service at my parents' church. Then we'll probably head back to Mom and Dad's to make homemade spaghetti, a new tradition with the Lucci's. Later, we'll open one of our presents. (Christmas Eve tradition has always been to open one present after church; then on Christmas morning, we open the rest.) Hopefully I'll end the evening reading a book in front of the fireplace at Mom and Dad's.

I am so happy today. My life is so full and wonderful. Sometimes it takes unpleasant moments to remind you how good everything is. I'm so glad the unpleasantness was only a moment.
