Attacks in the Middle East

What in the world is happening over in the Middle East? It seems that attacks are out of control, just as peace talks between Palestine and Israel start. Yesterday, Israel attempted to kill a Hamas leader. Then today, Hamas retaliates with a suicide bomber in downtown Jerusalem. Israel follows with another strike. It's hard to imagine reports today of those killed (23) and injured (120+) in both countries. It's really hard to imagine there is ever going to be a peace agreement. Those poor, poor people.
